VINCI WHEELS – USER MANUAL & WARRANTY CONDITIONS

I. USER MANUAL

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION: Please read this User Manual carefully and regularly inspect the technical condition of your wheels. Failure to follow these guidelines may lead to accidents, serious personal injury, permanent disability, or death.

1. Product Purpose & Structural Design

VINCI wheels are professional bicycle components engineered specifically for road, gravel, and mountain (MTB) bikes. Due to their advanced engineering, they require proper operation and care. Reliable and safe performance depends in particular on:
  • Correct assembly and installation,
  • Proper tire selection,
  • Maintaining recommended operational tire pressure,
  • Regular maintenance,
  • Usage strictly in accordance with the intended purpose and ASTM classification,
  • Compliance with all technical guidelines, limitations, and threshold values.
Deviating from these principles may lead to accelerated wear, compromised handling characteristics, and structural damage to the wheels.

2. ASTM Classification & Scope of Use

ASTM classification is an international standard defining the permissible operating conditions for bicycles and their components, including wheelsets. For detailed information regarding the intended use of VINCI wheels according to ASTM standards, please refer to our ASTM Classification Guide.

3. Safety & Pre-Ride Inspection

For full safety guidelines, refer to the VINCI Safety Guidelines. Please review and strictly adhere to these instructions prior to using the product. If you have any technical questions or doubts, contact us at: shop@vinci.cc.

Pre-Ride Checklist (Before Every Ride):

  • Wheel Condition: Inspect rims, spokes, spoke tension, and wheel trueness. Never ride wheels showing signs of structural damage or excessive wear. If damage is suspected during a ride, stop riding immediately.
  • Components: Check tires and tubeless system integrity/sealing.
  • Installation: Ensure wheels are correctly seated and secured in the frame and fork dropouts, and all thru-axles or quick-releases are properly torqued.

4. Pressure & Operational Limits

Before use, make sure you are familiar with the maximum pressure limits, tire width constraints, and system load limits:

5. Hookless Rims – Requirements & Safety

Selected VINCI rims feature hookless rim flange construction. This is clearly specified in the technical description of each applicable product. Hookless rims differ structurally from traditional hooked rims and strictly require hookless-compatible tubeless tires. For complete tire compatibility guidelines, consult our Hookless Rims Guide.

6. Tubeless System Setup & Care

Tubeless technology eliminates the inner tube, reducing rolling resistance, improving comfort, and enhancing puncture resistance. It requires precise installation. For step-by-step instructions on installation and sealant maintenance, see our Tubeless Setup Guide.

7. Hubs & Bearings

Hub bearings are wear-and-tear components whose lifespan depends directly on environmental conditions and maintenance. Moisture and dirt contamination wash out grease, accelerating bearing wear. Refer to our Bicycle Wheel Bearings Guide for maintenance recommendations.

8. Spoke Tension & Truing

For guidelines regarding spoke tension adjustments, wheel truing, and structural maintenance, consult the Spoke Tension & Wheel Truing Guide.

9. Component Installation

Always use components compatible with your specific VINCI wheel model. Component assembly must strictly follow the third-party manufacturer’s installation manual, and wheel installation must comply with your bicycle frame manufacturer’s instructions. For compatibility inquiries, contact shop@vinci.cc.

II. WARRANTY CONDITIONS (EU COMPLIANT)

1. Scope & Statutory Consumer Rights

These Warranty Conditions supplement and do not limit or exclude statutory consumer rights guaranteed by mandatory European Union consumer protection legislation (Directive (EU) 2019/771) or the applicable national laws of the customer’s country of residence. In case of any conflict between this document and statutory consumer law, statutory provisions shall take precedence. VINCI warrants that its products are free from defects in material, design, and workmanship for a period of 2 (two) years from the date of purchase. Warranty claims can be lodged through your authorized retailer/dealer or directly with the Guarantor: Cycling Industry Monika Lewandowicz (vinci.cc).

2. Warranty Claim Procedure

To submit a warranty claim, provide:
  • A detailed description of the defect,
  • The date the defect was first noticed,
  • Proof of purchase (order reference, invoice, or receipt).
Claims must be submitted within 15 days of discovering the defect via:

Processing Timeline:

  • The Guarantor will evaluate the warranty claim within 14 days from receipt. Failure to respond within 14 days constitutes acceptance of the claim.
  • Accepted warranty repairs will be completed within 30 days of claim approval, unless prevented by circumstances beyond the Guarantor’s reasonable control.
  • If repair is technically impossible, the product will be replaced with a new unit. If the original model is discontinued, VINCI may replace it with a newer or higher-tier model of equivalent or superior technical performance. If replacement is not possible, the buyer is entitled to a full refund of the purchase price.

3. Exclusions & Limitations

Minor visual variations resulting from production processes, material batches, or individual display settings do not constitute defects.

This warranty DOES NOT cover products that have been:

  • Installed contrary to the User Manual,
  • Subjected to misuse, abuse, or improper application,
  • Used with incompatible components,
  • Modified, altered, or tampered with.

Modifications voiding the warranty include, but are not limited to:

  • Permanent removal of manufacturer logos/serial numbers,
  • Custom painting or varnishing,
  • Grinding, sanding, drilling, or milling structural parts,
  • Unauthorized replacement of structural components.

This warranty DOES NOT cover damage resulting from:

  • Crashes, collisions, or impact damage,
  • Overloading or exceeding system weight/pressure parameters,
  • Improper storage, transportation, or inadequate maintenance,
  • Rim damage caused by bottoming out (pinch flats / rim strikes), as outlined in our Rim Strike Guide.
Normal wear and tear of consumable components (such as bearings, tubeless tape, valves, brake tracks/pads) is excluded from warranty coverage.

4. Returns & Exchanges (EU Right of Withdrawal)

Customers purchasing directly online via vinci.cc enjoy enhanced return rights:
  • 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee: You may return unused, original-condition products within 30 days of delivery without providing any reason.

  • International EU & Worldwide Returns: Return shipping costs and logistics are the sole responsibility of the customer.
For full terms on returns and withdrawals, refer to our Terms & Conditions.

5. Authorized Service & Third-Party Modifications

Damages resulting from repairs carried out outside authorized service centers, unauthorized technical interventions, or use of non-original spare parts will void warranty eligibility.

6. Final Provisions

Products must be operated strictly according to their intended design and instructions. VINCI reserves the right to determine the root cause of component damage based on technical laboratory analysis. Under this voluntary commercial warranty, VINCI’s liability is strictly limited to product repair, replacement, or refund as outlined above, without prejudice to non-excludable statutory rights under EU law.
